Organizational Affiliate Program

Our mission is to strengthen the nursing profession. The ability of DNA to meet that mission is enhanced by the knowledge and expertise of our organizational affiliates, Delaware and regionally based specialty nursing associations. By working together, we can collaborate to find solutions to nursing issues and healthcare challenges in our state and bring forward a stronger nursing voice across Delaware.

What are the benefits of affiliation?

A designated representative from your organization can attend Membership Assembly to make reports or presentations and vote on all matters (except membership dues and bylaw amendments).
Collaboration in advocacy work, including a non-voting representative on the Advocacy Committee and joint position statements to thousands of nurses and members of the DE General Assembly.
Submission of professional policy proposals for consideration by DNA.
Hold or submit names for appointed positions on committees, task forces, ad hoc groups, etc.
Publication of the affiliation on all communications including your organization's name and website.
Meeting and event posting on our website and social media.
Inclusion of your organization's content in our communication channels.

What are the criteria to becoming an organizational affiliate?

To affiliate with DNA, your reputable organization must meet the following:

Possess a governing body consisting of a majority of LPNs or RNs.
Possess a mission and purpose that are compatible with ours.
Bylaws that do not conflict.
Not be a registered labor organization.
Recognized as a legitimate and autonomous business entity.
Ability to undertake collaborative activities.

What is the fee for my organization to become an affiliate?

$200.00

Our goal is to provide the opportunity for every DE specialty nursing organization to join us regardless of membership size or income level.
