Nurses in Elected Office The power of our profession is significantly enhanced when nurses seek, and hold elected public office. This includes top-level positions in the Executive Branch and Delaware General Assembly and, also, local positions such as a County Commissioner, school board member, city council, Mayor, and more. There are currently three nurses elected to positions in the Executive Branch and General Assembly: DNA is proud to support nurses in elected positions, up and down the ballot. This is supported, in large part, by our partnership with Healing Politics.
